PHX Fan Fusion Zero Waste Volunteers!

The  Public Works Department is looking for Zero Waste Ambassadors to assist  with waste diversion efforts during Phoenix Fan Fusion in downtown  Phoenix between June 2-4. As a Zero Waste Ambassador, you will be  instrumental in preventing contamination in the recycle and compost  containers. Volunteers will be staged around the Phoenix Convention  Center.

Some of your duties will include:

• Educating attendees about what is recyclable and compostable
• Ensuring attendees place items in the correct container
• Monitoring containers and reporting fill levels to Public Works staff
• Reporting littering or other issues to Public Works staff
• Conducting any other pertinent duties to ensure the event diverts as much material as possible from the landfill.
